AT UNIVERSITY MENTORING

Supporting Students Beyond University Admission

At UCAN, we understand that the first term of university can be challenging for students as they adapt to new academic formats, courses, social groups, and extracurricular activities. Our goal is to provide continuous support to ensure a smooth transition and successful university experience.

Virtual Counseling and Support

  • Navigating Challenges: We offer virtual meetings to counsel students through their issues, guiding them to make informed decisions.

  • Flexible Support Options: Students can choose to receive assistance monthly, bi-monthly, or once a term, depending on their needs.

Comprehensive First-Year Support

  • Academic and Social Guidance: Provide help, advice, and support on academic and social issues, ensuring students feel confident and supported.

  • Ongoing Mentorship: Some students prefer continued assistance throughout their first year or beyond. We tailor our support to fit their individual needs.

In-Person Meetings

  • Pre-Departure Preparation: Meet in-person before a student leaves for university to offer last-minute advice and address any concerns.

  • Home Break Check-Ins: In-person meetings during university breaks to discuss progress and plan for the upcoming term.
